Description:
- The Colorado River parallels the Riverside Mountains Wilderness on its eastern edge. Consisting of 22,380 acres, the landscape in this wilderness varies from gently sloping bajadas to steep, rugged interiors. Washes emerging from deep canyons flow out on sloping bajadas. Numerous peaks gives this small mountain range a rough, craggy appearance. The foxtail and California Barrel cacti decorate this wilderness. A small herd of deer live within the Riverside range.
