Which places should take my visiting friend too?
I have a friend visiting LA,want to take her out to see the sights. She's not a very adventurous type,quite reserved. Where should I take her this week so that she can get a feel of the place and enjoy her holiday here? Note, I'll be doing the spending, so it would be nice if you could suggest places that are not expensive.

Graumann's Chinese Theater (free)
Cinematheque (depends on movie)
Universal City Tour (more expensive, but fun and takes a long time)
La Brea Tar Pit (outside is free)

Forgot about Little Tokyo. Interesting stores and restaurants.

I would also add
- the San Diego Zoo and
- a stroll in Hollywood/Beverly Hills shopping area. You can spend some time here and just walk around. Please do take care that actually buying something here can be a bit expensive as this is the place where the stars stay.
