  Rent a jeep and drive to the National Marine Park at Cabo Pulmo, one of the only living coral reefs in North America and the largest. At roughly 20,000 years old, it is one of the oldest as well. Jacques Cousteau called it "the aquarium of the world." There are over 200 species of fish swimming around the reefs. Snorkel or dive in an underwater fantasia. Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort offers solar-powered eco-bungalows for about 50 USD a night. The Cabo Pulmo Dive Center is on-site, with PADI accredited staff, and offers a variety of snorkel and dive packages. Cabo Pulmo is over a one hour drive from San Jose del Cabo, and closer to two hours from Cabo San Lucas. This is a very special place with very few residents, but there is currently a huge resort development planned here that could forever alter this fragile ecosystem.
