Description:
- Another venture by the Louisville Beer Store folks, Holy Grale recently opened in the Highlands, in what used to be a church. The architecture dictated the décor – religious icons litter the bar, whose exposed brick walls and gleaming silver taps are lit by hanging Gothic church lamps and votives in the arched windows. A detailed beer menu gives history as well as descriptions of each beer, and the kitchen offers snacks like cheese and chocolate plates paired with beer ($12), frites with sauce or chorizo gravy (fries + gravy = poutine), sweet potato and black bean tacos ($6) or chorizo tacos ($5). It's small, and while some may call it cramped, we call it cozy.
