335 W Broadway, Louisville, KY, United States
Built in 1923 and renovated in the 1980s, the Brown Hotel holds a spot on the National Register of Historical Places. This 16-story hotel has 293 rooms and suites, a fitness center, two restaurants and a bar that's also a stop on the Urban Bourbon Trail. Though guest rooms have the old-hotel feel, they are equipped with wifi and standard hotel amenities (hair dryer, coffee makers, iron and ironing board, but no fridge). The Brown is a short walk from the Louisville Palace and Fourth Street Live (though the two blocks to Fourth Street Live are fairly empty at night). The Brown Hotel is the home of the Hot Brown, an open-faced turkey sandwich with bacon, cheese and lots of cream and butter. Try one at the Brown's restaurant, the English Grill.
