When Louisvillians learned that a development group might turn the Twig and Leaf into a pharmacy, they started a Facebook group to save it and petitioned the Landmarks Commission to designate the restaurant as a protected landmark. So if you're looking for greasy, hangover food or a mom-and-pop style diner, the Twig and Leaf will still be at the Douglass Loop. Open 24 hours on the weekend, they serve simple, diner food (think eggs, bacon, waffles, burgers) for reasonable prices.
