Foxhollow is a great member of Louisville's local food movement.
8905 Kentucky 329, Crestwood, KY, United States
A 1300-acre farm outside Louisville, Foxhollow Farms is run by a group dedicated to the principles of biodynamic farming, which uses no chemicals, and instead uses sprays prepared with organic matter. They run a farm store that's open Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30-5:30, where visitors can buy produce, meat, chicken, eggs, jam, handmade soap, and cards. Foxhollow also sells its produce at farmers markets around Louisville. They offer various guided group walking tours and farm tours, ranging from $25-$95, as well as classes or private lessons on canning and preserving. On Saturdays, visitors can go on a self-guided hike on the farm's nature trail for a suggested $2 donation. Check the News and Events section of their website to find out about other workshops and classes. Go visit their cows!
