Find out the schedule of the daily interpretation performances before beginning your museum exploration. There are 90 historical performances presented on the ground floor and the third floor tournament ring.

  • Description:

    • Once nicknamed "The Gun Museum" by locals, the Frazier's permanent collection features both American and European historic weapons, thanks to its partnership with the United Kingdom's Royal Armouries. The exhibits explore the history and conflicts surrounding the weapons, which include an approximately 18-foot, 16th century pike from the arsenal of King Henry VIII, pistols presented to Lieutenant George Armstrong Custer and Theodore Roosevelt's "Big Stick," a Holland & Holland Royal Double rifle. Formerly the Frazier Historical Arms Museum, the Frazier's name was changed and the collection expanded beyond historic weaponry. Recent exhibits have included pirates, the Louisville Water Company, the toys and art from Disney and Pixar films and a photography exhibit exploring the Pony Express today. The museum recently purchased the Mary Todd Lincoln Insanity Papers, which will be featured in a future exhibit on the Civil War.
