• Conveniently located just one hour from Denver in the Colorado foothills near Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, Sylvan Dale's 3200-acre Dude Ranch is nestled along the banks of Colorado's beautiful Big Thompson River. The Ranch offers both cabins and lodge accommodations, all with private baths, warmly decorated with comfortable country furnishings and antique accents. B&B stays are available from the third week in August through mid-June of the following year. The ten weeks of summer are reserved for full dude ranch vacation packages. Sylvan Dale is an historic working horse and cattle ranch. Registered quarter horses are born and trained on the ranch, which also raises its own hay. The cattle herd is moved between pastures and mountain meadows throughout the year using a rotation system designed for environmentally sustainable grazing.
