• Situated in Old Lyon - just across the road from the river Soane - Le Penjab is a small, simply decorated restaurant serving a rounded assortment of Indian and Pakistani favourites. There's plenty to choose from and the menu is also vegetarian friendly; offering a veggie selection - including dal, an assortment of veggie curries and starters - that exceeds that of most restaurants in Lyon. Top non-veggie picks from the menu include the Tandoori Chicken, or Tandoori Salmon - both included on the starter menu - and Chicken Tikka Massala ( the chefs speciality) or Salmon Tikka Massala. There's a fair sprinkling of fish on the menu, so the restaurant is a great place for pescetarians as well as veggies and meat eaters alike. Service at Le Penjab is timely and professional, and presentation of the restaurants tasty dishes is impeccable. Evening set menus are priced at 18 and 22 euros and the wine list is equally reasonable in price. The restaurants menus are easily accessible for those with little French language and the service staff can assist with a little spoken English.
