Description:
- Dining at Taberna Maceiras is like taking a trip to Galicia, the autonomous region in the north of Spain famous for its Celtic influences and praised cuisine of the sea. The "gaita," or the Galician equivalent of the Scottish bagpipes, can always be heard over the speakers, and the walls are covered with representations of Galician culture. The menus are etched on wooden tablets, the white wine comes served in large bowls, and the food is out of this world. The mussels, octopus, codfish, and green peppers from Padrón are some of the best dishes the place has to offer. It tends to reach maximum capacity at dinnertime, attracting a plethora of diners with its great food and fun, eccentric environment. - Michelle Campagna
