- The Plaza de Cibeles is the most beautiful of all the grand squares in Madrid. The Cibeles Fountain is situated at the center of the square and looks fantastic when illuminated. Another attraction is the Banco de España, which is Spain's central bank headquarters and is an architectural delight by itself. The Palacio de Comunicaciones can almost be mistaken for a Cathedral and has an ethereal appearance. Plaza de Cibeles is the best place to be at night, as the entire place is well lit and looks just out of the world. This plaza is symbolic of the city and a must-visit for every tourist.
