Plaza de Santa Ana

Description:

  • The historic Plaza de Santa Ana is a popular landmark in Madrid's Literary Quarter (Barrio de las Letras). The square has monuments to celebrated Spanish writers Federico García Lorca and Calderón de la Barca, and is flanked by the Spanish Theater (Teatro Español). However, it is better known among Madrileños as a meeting spot. The square is filled with sidewalk cafes and the surrounding area has many good restaurants and bars.
