Puente de Segovia

Description:

  • Made of granite and in the Renaissance style, the 16th century arched Puente de Segovia (Segovia Bridge) still spans Madrid's Manzanares River, but now only pedestrian traffic is permitted. The bridge was designed by Juan de Herrera, a man best remembered for the El Escorial Monastery.
