I would stay in a NH hotel. Actually NH hotels is a franchise and there are many all over Spain. I would suggest you to write down in the search bar "NH hotels in Madrid" and you will have many hotels to stay with good quality and price.

If you're not on a tight budget, then I would recommend Hotel Abalu (on Calle Pez). It's a cute boutique hotel and the neighborhood (Malasaña) has a young, hip vibe to it.
