Description:
The Tara is the top choice for the upscale traveler in Mae Hong Son. Though it's some 2km (1 1/4 miles) out of town, the hotel's style, service, many amenities, and upkeep set it far above the rest. Guest rooms overlook a teak forest, garden, and stream. All furnishings are in blond wood and wicker on "bowling-alley" shined floors. Most rooms have spacious balconies, and suites are large and luxurious. The serpentine free-form pool is surrounded by a wooden deck and the open-air restaurant has views of the grounds and garden. The staff is very professional and can help with any eventuality, from day-tours to flat tires.
