• Behind the Málaga bullring, this place becomes hectic during any bullfight, filling up with fans and often, after the fight, with the matadors, too. The cuisine has an old-fashioned flair, and the servings are generous. Try a typical Málaga soup, ajo blanco con uvas (cold almond soup flavored with garlic and garnished with big muscatel grapes). Another classic opener is garlicky mushrooms with bits of ham. The fresh seafood is a delight, including rape and angler; lamb might be served with a saffron-flavored tomato sauce. Desserts are like the ones Mama made, including rice pudding.
