  • No chef is more celebrated in Palma than Jaime Oliver -- no relation to The Naked Chef. His splendid kitchen, located on the ground floor of the previously recommended Convent de la Missió, offers the island's most creative cuisine. To enjoy it, reserve well in advance, especially if you want a table on the open-air terrace. The best of seasonal produce -- backed up by a varied wine list -- awaits diners, who can also sit in the main room decorated with black-and-white photographs of Majorcan salt mounds. The fish of the day is one of the most requested dishes, though you may opt instead for the ostrich steak with a mild orange and ginger sauce. Veal cheeks come with a goose foie gras, or else there is Iberian pork loin cooked under a basil crust.
