- Since 1856 Bodega Macía Batle has been making wine in what is now called the winemaking region of D.O. Binissalem. Located in the comarca of Raiguer, a short drive northeast of Palma, vineyards in this area have produced wine for five centuries. One of Macía Batle's most popular wines is the Blanc de Blancs, made from the Prensal Blanc and Chardonnay varieties. Macía Batle has been a forerunner in combining great wine with great art. Every year the labels of their Reserva Privada are designed by such renown artists as Rebecca Horn, Yannick Vu, Erwin Bechtold, Francesca Martí or Pep Coll. The modern installations consist of a store for the purchase of wine and other local products, a winetasting room, storage caves and bottling plant. Upon request, a tour of the winery is available to individuals and groups.
