Palma Cathedral (La Seu)

Description:

  • Erected on the hallowed site of a destroyed Arab Mosque, La Seu is an architecturally stunning symbol of the true scope of the brutal clash of civilizations still being waged in the modern era. Begun in 1230 and completed in 1601, the edifice is a prime example of French Gothic cathedral building. Note its epic impact on Palma's skyline (particularly from the sea). The admission fee is 4 Euros, but it is open free Sunday mornings and during religious festivals.
