Description:
Built in 1914, with many subsequent changes and improvements since, this hotel lies on Malmö's main square facing the Town Hall, a short walk from the railway station. Since 2007, most of the guest rooms have been rebuilt in a tasteful modern format. Originally, this hotel was owned by the Salvation Army, which strictly forbade the consumption of alcohol on the premises; but since its sale to the Rica chain, all of that is a distant memory, and there's now a bar adjacent to the lobby. The rooms are generally spacious, but bathrooms tend to be cramped.
