Duck Lake Trail - Mammoth Lakes

  • User Review:

    • Follow the Duck Pass trail 3.5 miles from Coldwater Campground, up past Arrowhead, Skelton, and Barney Lakes, all the way up o the Duck Pass at 10,800 feet. From there, you'll glimpse the azure-blue waters of Duck Lake, at 10,400 feet one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the Sierras. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views north towards Mammoth Mountain, and west into the heart of the John Muir Wilderness. This hike is truly one of the most gorgeous (and most accessible) in the Mammoth Lakes region (so be prepared for a bit of company, especially lower down).
