- Family operated since 1962, the Bee Bee Shoe Store was sold to two businessmen in 2002 who closed it within three years of managing it. Fortunately, three of its tried-and-tested ex-staff decided to come together and reopen the business in 2005. Bee Bee's has not looked back since then and the locals of Manchester prefer the warmth of their home grown shoe store to the clinical preciseness of chain stores. A friendly return policy actually lets you bring back worn shoes that are evaluated by the staff. Converse, Timberland, Doc Martins and Florsheims are some brands stocked here.
