- Once a fire station and then a bank, this historic Marietta site has been converted into MacCracken's, an Irish pub with two bars, a bustling front dining room, cozy lounging rooms and outdoor dining in a courtyard. The old bank vault is still there, though now it holds beer instead of money. Beer selections include the traditional pub choices of Guinness, Bass, Bodington's and others; but it's the food that draws crowds. Corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, and even a full Irish breakfast are included on the menu. Expect live entertainment on the weekends, usually in the form of Celtic folk rock. - Beth Dolgner
