Description:

  • Opened in 2004 and located on a quiet street minutes away from GuĂ©liz's many restaurants and shops, this pleasant hotel has a modern feel even though the design is essentially traditional. The brick/cement exterior hides a central courtyard-cum-lobby, where zellij and clay tiling are complemented by marble floors and lots of natural light. The rooms are entered through dark, heavy medieval-like wood doors, but inside you'll find pastels, wood beams, clay tiling and zellij, and Moroccan art, carpets, and lamps. The bathrooms are modern, if small, and have shower/tub combos. The suites are similar to the rooms, only larger. One of the two in-house restaurants, Bistro La Saveur, has seating both at the front and rear of the lobby, the latter leading out to a moderate-size pool with a bizarre, fake-rock mini-waterfall. This is the hotel's one failing in design, as the location of the pool affords absolute minimal privacy. The first-floor Moroccan restaurant has traditional music and dancing every Friday night. The staff are numerous and friendly.

  • We had a great break here; 20 minutes walk from the old city, 10 minutes from the Majorelle gardens. A short walk to a bus stop; taxis always outside the door. The staff at the hotel...

    Comfortable

  • Pros: 1) Decent location: about 7 minute walk to supermarket, plaza (McDonalds, Zara, etc), 15 minute walk to Majorelle Garden. A number of cafes and restaurants are also nearby....
