Description:
One floor above street level, in a modern dining room with views of the Vieux Port, this restaurant serves the most creative cuisine in Marseille. The historically important 19th-century building has sculpted lion heads embellishing its facade. Chef de cuisine Lionel Levy and his wife, Florence, the maître d'hôtel, are the creative forces here. Their cuisine changes daily according to the ingredients available at local markets. Menu items include a creamy soup made from chestnuts and sea urchins, and a thick slice of a local saltwater fish known as denti, which local gastronomes compare to a daurade royale (sea bream) served with flap mushrooms and chicken stock; mullet served with saffron and herb risotto; and roasted squab with arabica coffee-flavored juices. Depending on the mood of the chef, desserts may include pineapple dacquoise (stacked meringue dessert) served with vanilla-flavored whipped cream.

Fantastic view on the harbour and promenade, stylish atmosphere, perfect service, creative dishes but you see what you eat, portions are big enough (even for a man), very healthy ingredients...
