The Question
Public Question Asked by User67614 about Marsh Harbour
I am looking for someone who cooks meals for visitors
We (4 older men) will be staying in a house in Marsh Harbor for one week. We would like to find someone to cook the evening meal which we can either pick up on the way back from bonefishing or have delivered to the house. Thank you, Darwin

I will contact a friend in Marsh Harbor. It is a pity you are not going to Exuma. I have numerous contacts there.
Give me 12hours for this or email ssmith.nas@gmail.com

I have an aunt that lives in Marsh Harbour, who happens to be an excellent cook. I will try to contact her today to see if she will is interested and if she will be available for the period that you are requesting.

My aunt wants to know if any of you have special needs? if you will be providing the supplies, or if she was expected to purchase them? And what types of meals were you anticipating?

At this point I am just inquiring to see if this idea would work for everyone. It is still uncertain if it will be practical to do. We have no special needs. The type of food we had on mind was simple local meals - fish, conch, etc. Cost is a consideration for us, so one of the things I was trying to find out is if it would even be something we can afford - not that we expect it to be "cheap", just that we don't need anything too elaborate or extravagant. As for buying the supplies, I think it would be better if the cook did that because she knows what she needs. I guess we'd need some kind of estimate based on that (food + cooking). Even if it was just 3 or 4 evenings instead of the whole week, that might be enough. We're not that interested in going to restaurants after a day of fishing but if we cook for ourselves, we'll just be eating the same kind of food we eat at home. If I can get some general idea of the cost per meal for 4 based on what I've said, we can see if it's possible. Since we will be staying several miles outside of Marsh Harbor, I'm guessing that it would be better it we picked up the food. I hope this works out because we'd really like to do it. If I've left any questions unanswered, please feel free to ask. Thank you, Darwin
