  • Maui's economy is centered on the tourism industry. Therefore there are plenty of options when it comes to restaurants, hotels, golf courses, and tours.

    There are a couple big names on Maui when it comes to tour services. Roberts Hawaii is the premier touring bus service, offering guided tours to some of Maui's top natural attractions. Blue Hawaiian is your go-to tour company when in comes to the air. They offer helicopter tours over areas of Maui some locals have never even seen. When it comes to the water, look to book a whale watch, snorkel cruise, or sunset sail with the Pacific Whale Foundation or Trilogy Excursions.

    Other popular tours can be found in upcountry region of Maui. Choose to zip line over deep gulches, ATV through rugged terrain, or bike down Haleakala volcano. Enjoy views of the Maui valley below you the whole time.

    One self-guided tour our in Hana is an absolute must. A labyrinth of lava tubes is set beneath private property out in Hana and costs about $11 to explore. After checking out a hardhat and flashlight, start descending into the dark caves for a self guided tour you won't soon forget.
