• At the top of the Maui Meadows subdivision, right on the Wailea border and about a 5-minute drive to the beach, lies this 1/2-acre property, surrounded by a 40,000-acre wilderness area with two quaint units. The first is a darling one-room cottage with full kitchen, wood flooring, high beamed ceilings, living-room area (with king bed and full-size guest sofa/futon), large deck, and outdoor shower. Underneath the main house, but with its own entrance and complete privacy, is the waterfall suite. It has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living/dining area that opens to a landscaped area with a waterfall plus banana and papaya trees. (It's also wheelchair-accessible.) Both units have access to the organic vegetable garden, numerous fruit trees, and beach equipment. Hosts Ron and Merry couldn't be more gracious in helping you navigate the island. They also have a full-size crib, stroller, and junior beds available for kids.
