H. A. Baldwin Beach Park

Description:

• Located between the Haleakala Highway and the former plantation town of Paia, this beach park is a local spot where families come to picnic, enjoy the surf, play in the sand and more. The lifeguarded beach offers lots of sun, a wide sandy shoreline and a community center. The park also has restrooms, several barbecue grills, a pavilion, an outdoor shower, soccer and softball fields and a large, free parking area. The park is especially crowded after school hours and on the weekends. The surf can be rough at times, so consult the lifeguard before entering the ocean. -Lottie Tagupa
