• Formerly King Kamehameha Golf Club, Kahili reopened in the fall of '05 with 18 holes and brand new greens. Kahili Golf Course is conveniently located at Waikapu, just 10 minutes from Kahului Airport. Experience a day of golf at one of Maui's best golf courses. The 6570 yard, Par 72 was constructed in 1991 and designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright. Carved out of the foothills of the scenic West Maui Mountains, the design of Kahili Golf Course takes advantage of the local terrain and tradewinds to create a unique golf experience. The Par 3s on the front side lay up and downhill to small greens. On the backside, a small dry creek bed and a lake come into play; accuracy is a must. The Par 4s are designed to make the golfer work to get to the greens in regulation. There are many elevation changes combined with doglegs in both directions, making long drives an essential part of the game. The Par 5s are designed to give the long ball hitter a chance for a birdie or possibly an eagle.
