Pu'u Olai (Little) Beach

  • Type: Beaches
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Part of Makena State Park, reached by hiking over rocks. Warning: nudity!!!

  • Description:

    • Pu'u Olai Beach lies immediately north of Big Beach and is accessible from the same parking areas. A short trail from Big Beach leads over the cinder cone and on to Little Beach. This small beach is somewhat protected by a cove and has a sandy bottom. When the water conditions are calm this beach has good body surfing and boogie boarding. Although, it is exposed to open ocean and subject to strong currents. This beach is popular with nudists. It has no facilities.
