  • NileGuide Expert Says:

A rare spot to see tropical fish and turtles just off-shore; bring snorkel equipment.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Show up in the morning before the crowds of scuba diving tours. Parking is limited. After snorkeling, walk the paved beach walk past 5-star resorts like the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, and Kea Lani

    Description:

    • Ulua Beach lies on East Maui's western shoreline in Wailea. This is a small, curved, white sand beach fronted by the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort. It is one of the areas best snorkeling sites. The northern portion of the beach contains a rocky point, which supports coral and a variety of tropical fish. The best time of the day for snorkeling, and swimming, is morning, before the afternoon winds begin. Once the surf (and sand) begins to rise body surfing is the attraction at Ulua Beach. The facilities at this beach include: parking, showers and restrooms.
