The building was built around 1930 by architect Nel Rodriguez like medieval Gothic castles of the Loire in France, has French-style gardens, libraries, cinemas, and concerts. He dwelt Jose Tobon Uribe, who had brought the plans, until 1943 when Diego Echavarria Masses, an important industrial city, it was purchased as a residence for his family. In 1971 moved to become a museum where Don Diego Echevarria Mass, decided to donate all his decorations and accessories.
