• The Baden Powell used to be a traditional boozer that often went under the radar, but in recent time it has undergone renovations to become part of the new wave of gastro pubs. Elegantly fitted out like an old English tavern, the menu is dominated by rustic pizzas, though the special board often has the best specials. Though pricey, the beer and wine list is impressive, with many local varieties displayed. There are two beer garden areas which prove popular, especially before or after the football. Unknown to many, the Baden Powell (named after the man who founded the Boy Scouts) also offers comfortable accommodation with wifi, flat screen tvs and well lit rooms.
