Even most Collingwood locals wouldn't know about this place, despite walking past it thousands of times. The main reason is because it devotes itself to being a function bar/club that is available to hire. It's not often that one can hire out entire bar, especially on weekends, but Blue Velvet does. Not only functions it also plays host to launches, burlesque shows and even a music clip launch. The style is very…well metallic velvet. There are three areas; the front bar, the lounge and the club. Together we an ample beer garden it's a good place to throw a party.
