The Park Hotel is the quintessential corner pub. The front bar is ideal for watching the football and chatting to those that prop themselves up. The menu and dining room is casual yet comfy (especially in winter when the open fire roars to life) and although it offers a good variety of pub classics, it is mostly known for their parma and chocolate desserts. The beergarden is a hidden gem and is dotted with plasma screens, ideal for those big sporting events.
