• A few years ago, two women took over a rundown struggling hotel devoid of customers, and have since made it into one of the best pubs in Melbourne. Many head straight for the rooftop that looks over the Collingwood skyline towards the city, but be sure to see the beer bottle collection that line the wall downstairs. There is live music a few times a week and the kitchen serves better than average fare, including a great Sunday roast (and happy hour). The beer list is impressive and service from the predominately female staff is always friendly. Rare in Collingwood, the Fox is popular with locals and visitors from down the freeway.
