  • No doubt the rumors you’ve heard are true; Australians love their food and drink. In Melbourne, there’s no shortage of fantastic restaurants to choose from, regardless of preference. From local favorites to high-end eateries, Melbourne has it.

Let’s start at the beginning; brunch. The day begins at some of the best cafes Melbourne has to offer. Choose from local favorites such as Marios and the Retro Café, which boast local produce and a lively environment. For lunch, check out the numerous eateries on Victoria Street and sample the local Vietnamese cuisine at Tho Tho’s. For cocktail hour (can’t miss this in Melbourne, head to well-loved cocktails bars such as Gin Palace of the Hairy Canary. These modernized bars are sure to put a little sass into the evening, and are a great precursor to an amazing dinner.

Dinner… there are so many choices in a city as diverse as Melbourne. Where to even start? First off is Chinese food. Melbourne has a fantastic Chinatown teeming with amazing restaurants. Among the most popular is the Flower Drum, well known for its authentic cuisine. If you’re into having a swankier evening, check out the eateries on the oh-so-fashionable Chapel Street. Among the many, Cafe Sienna and Kush sparkle. For a more relaxing dining experience (and for those on a more modest budget), La Roche Café is a great choice.
