- This racecourse is home to one of Australia's most prestigious events--the Caulfield Cup. While not quite the stature of Flemington's Melbourne Cup, the Caulfield event is targetted by the nation's premier trainers as one of the trophies to win over the famed Spring Racing Carnival. The facilities at Caulfield have undergone massive upgrades in recent years, with the Rupert Clarke Stand now glassed in to shield the crowd from the elements. Other big races here during the Spring Carnival are the Caulfield Guineas and the Blue Diamond Stakes.
