Eureka Skydeck 88

Description:

  • Standing 88 floors above in the Eureka Tower is Melbourne's tallest building and the second tallest in Australia. The viewing platform is the highest in Southern Hemisphere however, which is as impressive as it is scary. From the 360 degree views, and thirty viewfinders, a panoramic landscape can be viewed, from the Dandenong mountains to the blue waters of Bass Straight. For those that are not afraid of heights, the edge is a glass cube that projects 3 meters out from the building, 300 meters above the ground. The real terrifying aspect is that the glass is not see-through, until a flick of the switch, giving many a taste of what vertigo is. A cafe is located on the same floor providing an excuse to watch the sunset.
