The "Kangers" are the universal stragglers in the AFL when it comes to supporter base. Such is their need for money, that they regularly have to play home games interstate which makes their supporters angry. Despite this, on the field, North has been very competitive and were the best team in the 1990s, winning two premierships and reaching six preliminary finals. Their greatest ever player is Wayne Carey who many regard as the best to have ever played the game. Sadly he left the club after an indiscretion with a player's wife. North are a proud club and will always give you value for money.
