Description:
Definitely the new kid on the block -- albeit one with a famous name -- this high-rise hotel, which opened in 2008, is the tallest building in the entire city. Inside, it's a straight-up five-star convention center and hotel, with nary a nod to the fabulous surroundings, local flair for design, or the wine/food vibe so important to Mendoza. Still, rooms are incredibly comfortable, as to be expected from a Sheraton. And the rooftop lounge has unbeatable views of the city, not to mention a great wine list. There's also a casino attached. Be sure to request a mountain view, even if they won't confirm it (and it's worth double-checking at check-in). Business travelers and bigger groups will be most interested in this option. For a real feel of life in Mendoza, choose another option.
