Description:
The odd layout of the place and the decor, which plays loosely with Mexican popular culture and iconography, are amusing. And the triptych menu, divided into Yucatecan, Mexican, and original, holds a lot of uncommon choices, plus a couple of daily specials. Sample dishes include the Cornish game hen in a guava-lime glaze and a salmon in a tamarind and black sesame sauce. Good stuff. When the restaurant first opened, I was hesitant to put it in the guidebook because I feared that it might not survive, given the conservative tastes of most Meridanos, but I was happily proven wrong.
