- Next to Merida's baseball field, Parque Kukulkan, stands a hulking concrete building called the Polifórum Zamná. While the structure is nothing much to look at it is frequently packed with cheering fans crowding the steeply banked seats for sports events of all kinds. Boxing matches and Lucha Libre – Mexican-style wrestling – draw large crowds and dominate the calendar, which features concerts, as well. Event prices vary depending on the event but range mostly from MX$70 to 200/US$7-20.
Additional Information: Polifórum Zamná has no website that I could find so look for events in the local newspaper, Diario de Yucatan. Tickets are sold at the on-site box office and sometimes at grocery stores like Super San Francisco de Asís. - © NileGuide2013
