- Breakfast is a variation on the eggs, salads, cheeses, tea (African /home grown), juice and coffee theme. Don't get me wrong--it's a great way to start the day. At Maua Basin, it's the Meru influence that will make your breakfast experience something special. My favorite is the tea and madazi breakfast, which is a take-off on doughnuts. Breakfast can be taken indoors or outside on the patio overlooking the lively green Nyambene hills will mildews of tea plantations and 'miraa or khat' which is grown here in plenty and exported worldwide. the scenery is awesome.
