• This mall in Mesa houses more than 150 shopping and dining establishments. One favorite feature is the nostalgic carousel, which is set in an enormous glass rotunda for the young and the young at heart. Enjoy the only desert botanical garden in a shopping center. More than 100 plants native to the Mojave, Soran and Chihuahuan deserts are featured. This is an example of xeriscaping, a means of preserving water in the desert using appropriate vegetation. Sporting an amphitheater in the plaza, free concerts run every Saturday evening from March through October.
