Centro Cultural Del Bosque

Description:

  • Hidden in plain sight behind the Auditorio Nacional is a fine complex of eight performance spaces: Centro Cultural del Bosque. Mexico City's Bosque de Chapultepec, or Chapultepec Forest, lends its name to the center.

A diverse selection of dance, music, film, theater, and literary activities fill the busy calendar. The free series "Conociendo a…(Getting to know…)" presents distinguished performing artists and creators in an interview setting with audio, video, and live performance of the artist's work. The Teatro de la Danza, or Dance Theater, is Mexico City primary presenter of smaller dance companies – local, national, and international. Letras en el Bosque highlights literary works and their authors. The students and teachers of the National Conservatory of Music perform regularly in Sala CCB in the program called Musica en el Bosque.

Centro Cultural del Bosque can be found near the Botanical Garden, National Museum of Anthropology, and Chapultepec Castle.
