This is the closest you can get to La Havana without flying to Cuba. It is licensed by the famous bar with the same name where it's said Ernest Hemingway used to sit for hours drinking rum and writing his novels.

La Bodeguita is a combination bar and restaurant offering typical Cuban dishes at reasonable prices and excellent drinks, especially mojitos. Every time I have been there it has been packed and very loud but service is great, waiters make sure you get a drink very quickly even if you are just standing in a corner or a hallway. Eventually you will get a table or a nice place by the bar where you can listen to great Cuban music and read the hundreds of messages that patrons have scribbled on the walls over the years.

This is a well known bar patronized by locals mostly in the 30 to 40 age range. During the week it's people unwinding after work and on the weekends it's just one huge party.
