NileGuide Expert Says:
This is a homely and inexpensive way to stay in one of Mexico's trendiest neighborhood without it costing you an arm. Try the funky pink pizzeria "Pizzabrosa" on the other side of the square.

The Casa de la Condesa is a clean, older property located in central Mexico City in the Roma Sur neighborhood. Affiliated with ExtendedStayMexico and located near the intersection of Guanajuato and Orizaba, this hotel is one of the least expensive choices for visitors who want to explore neighboring Condesa.
The six-story building houses 32 smoking and nonsmoking suites of varying size and shape. Those in the front have small balconies and overlook lovely Plaza Luis Cabrera, a pocket-sized park with a splashing fountain. The suites come equipped with kitchens that feature refrigerators, microwaves, and coffeemakers, which makes the hotel is a good choice for longer stays.
As is common in Mexican hotels of similar price, the beds are hard and the bathrooms are small, but adequate. Prices are frequently discounted by as much as 30% on the website.
Have lunch or dinner at Cabiria, also on the park.
